Looking for a job that fits around school, college or university?

At Farmfoods, we have various part time roles available so you will find one that suits you. We offer an hourly rate of £9.40 to £12.00 depending on age and length of service and we offer contracts from 12 to 39 hours per week to suit your circumstances.

We can offer shifts in the mornings, day time and evenings. We do not do zero hour contracts and you will always be guaranteed a minimum amount of hours. Everybody gets 6 weeks paid holiday per year and overtime at normal rates is often available if you want it.

Uniform (jacket, t-shirt and trousers) is provided free of charge and you get a staff discount of 15% on all purchases from your first day with us.

THE ROLE OF A RETAIL ASSISTANT

This isn’t just a job on the checkouts. From serving customers at the till to keeping the shelves and freezers full, as a member of our team you’ll do a bit of everything. All great experience and plenty to add to your CV. We work in a competitive, fast paced environment and you will need to get stuck in and give it your all. We do things pretty quickly and there’s always something to be done. You won’t find a job with us boring.

We also believe it is important to enjoy coming to work. With a friendly team around you, don’t be surprised if you end up staying a while. Our average Retail Assistant stays for 3 years and because we always look to promote from within, once they are bitten by the bug, many stay much longer.

There are lots of career opportunities within Farmfoods; we like to develop our people. We encourage internal promotion and always look to promote to Shop and Area Manager positions from within. We also offer level 2, level 3 and level 4 retail apprenticeships that can allow you to progress within our shops.
Stage One – Application Form
The online application form consists of a number of short questions which enable us to get to know a bit more about you and also to help you decide if we are the right company for you. The hiring manager will review your application form and decide if they would like to progress your application further.

Stage Two – Face to Face Interview
If the hiring manager likes what they see in your application, they will give you a call to arrange a face to face interview with you, which will be held in one of our shops (usually the one you’ve applied to work in).

Stage Three - Job Offer
After the interview the hiring manager will be in touch within 7 days to let you know the outcome. This may be via email if you are unsuccessful or by telephone if you are successful.
After making your application you should expect to hear from us within 4 weeks but in most cases you will hear much sooner than that (usually within 2 – 3 weeks).
Due to the large number of applications we receive we are unable to provide any specific feedback if your application is unsuccessful.
Absolutely, you are more than welcome to apply again.
